Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) is a movie by Marvel Cinematic Universe which shows Peter Parker, a fifteen-year-old experiencing adolescence while shouldering the responsibility of being Spiderman. Having had an exciting escapade with Avengers, he returns to his usual Queens life just to show that he is more than a mere “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man”.

While trying to balance school and fighting crime in Central Park at night as Spiderman, Stark’s protégé has to be keen not to let anything slip. Nonetheless, Peter takes on too much when he wants to be fully recognized as an Avenger. At some point, he comes across Adrian Toomes who used to be involved in the recycling of garbage but now turned into a Vulture after adopting some alien machinery from New York battle.

As Peter deals with high school, friends and the fact that no one knows he is Spiderman problems occur. However, despite Stark’s advice not involving him in any kind of messes, Peter’s determination to stop Vulture creates dangerous predicaments for him thereby checking his commitment and creativity.

Peter’s own skills and resourcefulness become his only hope in the final scenes, as he tries to stop Vulture from stealing a consignment of powerful weapons – thus demonstrating that he is prepared to be a hero on his own terms. Through the film, Peter learns important ideas of responsibility, modesty and what it really means to be heroic, deciding to stay down-to-earth as Spider-Man instead of chasing celebrity status.
